Can anyone become an Entrepreneur? Studies done by MIT have shown that there is no gene that makes one person more qualified to be an entrepreneur over another and that entrepreneurial skills can be taught. In today’s world of constant change and innovation, the traditional ideas surrounding entrepreneurship are being overturned as today’s entrepreneurs focus on launching businesses that solve problems and create value for customers as opposed to just making money.
The number one need in the world today is a paying job. A study by the McKinsey Global Institute estimates that 800M jobs will be lost to automation by 2030. With 100M startups being founded every year and just as many failing every year, it’s imperative that entrepreneurs are equipped for every stage of the entrepreneurship journey and that they are connected to locally organized ecosystems where vital resources and support for creating successful businesses are easily accessible.
